Bui Thi Hong is one of the athletes
representing Yen Thuy District to participate in the 6th Provincial Sports and
Physical Training Competitions of Hoa Binh province with the sport of stick
pushing. Born in 2002, she is currently studying at the provincial school of
Gifted and Talented Education. Each of her training sessions lasts two and a
half hours, so she was very exhausted. Her outdoor practice, together with the changeable
weather makes the little young girl want to give up. However, the pride of her
family, dreams and plans for the future has strengthened to help Hong overcome
many harsh training sessions, getting closer to the peak of victory. Even her
daily practice is harsh; she and her teammates have to practice with much
higher intensity and pressure. Fortunately, her family is always by her side
and becomes her strong foothold, especially when she has troubles or she is
tired. During the study and practice, her family always follows, encourages and
supports her pursuit of passion.
Hong remembered her feeling when she first
received the medal. "Breaking up emotionally, unable to stop the tears, I
cried for the effort after practicing so many times, has been successful,
crying because I could meet the expectation of my teacher, crying because now
my family can be proud of me "- Hong emotionally shared.
By strictly following the rules when
practicing, Hong has never suffered any serious injury, even if it is just
rubbing lightly on the skin.
Over the years, Hong has played in athletics,
stick pushing, tug of war in regional and national tournaments. Some
outstanding achievements has she achieved such as a silver medal, a bronze
medal in marathons at the traditional Marathon Cup of Hoa Binh Newspaper, two
gold medals in the Region I Sports Competition of ethnic minorities; a gold
medal of stick pushing at the 6th Provincial Sports and Physical Training
Competitions of Hoa Binh province.
