(HBO) - After nine competing days (from 14/4 to 22/4/2018), the Youth Football League of Luong Son District in 2018 has been successfully completed.
The Football League attracted 23 football
teams from 19 communes, towns and 4 organizations and schools in the district.
After competing in 31 matches, all the teams has demonstrated to the viewers
many beautiful matches with a lot of wonderful shots which show the spirit of
playing the best, honesty of the players. Outstandingly defeating all the
opponents in the rounds, the two teams of Hoa Son and Lam Son communes entered
the dramatic final match. After two consecutive rounds, the match ended with
the score of 1-1. Then, Hoa Son commune team defeated Lam Son commune team with
the score of 4-1 in the penalty shootout to win the championship.
At the end of the league, the organizers
awarded the first prize to the team of Hoa Son commune, the second prize to the
team of Lam Son commune, the third prize for the two teams of Tien Son and
Thanh Lap communes. The football team of Thanh Lap also received the best team
of fair play style. In addition, the organizers awarded the best player, the
most goal scorer and the best goalkeeper.
The league was organized as a practical
activity to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the liberation of the South of
Vietnam – Liberation Day 30/4 and International Labor Day 1/5 and Uncle's
birthday 19/5/2018. At the same time, this will contribute to promoting the
campaign "All people do the exercises following the example of Uncle
Ho".

In recent years, the mass physical training and sports (PTS) movement in Hoa Binh province has developed strongly and spread widely. Regardless of age, gender or occupation, people actively participate in physical training, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic sports atmosphere within the community.
Recently, Hoa Binh’s athletes have continued to show strong performances at national-level competitions. Alongside elite athletes, several standout performers have emerged from grassroots sports movements, underlining the province’s growing sports culture.
From April 26 to 27, at the Provincial Sports Arena, the Hoa Binh Provincial Karate Federation organized the 2025 Hoa Binh Open ASUDO Karate Championship.
While modern sports like volleyball and football continue to grow in popularity, traditional folk games and ethnic sports remain a vibrant and essential part of cultural life among the Muong community in Hoa Binh province.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
