(HBO) – When completing the nationwide youth bicycling race and national mountain cycling race in 2018, Hoa Binh team won four gold medals, six silver medals, three bronze medals, becoming the 2nd top-up medal team for the content of national mountain cycling race.

The athlete Bui Van Nhat is participating in the national mountain cycling competition in 2018.

The young athletes of Hoa Binh province competed excellently in terms of limited technical facilities. Mountain cycling is an adventurous sport, athletes often have to compete with the contents of the field crossing, falling over the pass on the complex roads with high slope, deep chords, sharp bending segments, etc. Therefore, in addition to having good physical, the athletes must have high techniques and experiences in handling the case on the track, thorough understanding of the technical parameters of the bikes. Due to the lack of facilities, the training of the athletes must be divided by the shift so that less time was spent on practicing skills, techniques to handle the situation on the track, tactics when competing. Therefore, the athletes can not show well their strength and competences.

The coach Tran Dai Nghia added: While the means for training and competition are currently lacked, the province set up the goal for the national mountain cycling race at the 2018 National Sports Festival of achieving 3 individual and team medals, including 2 gold medals, 1 silver or bronze medal. There will be five players competing in the team competition, but at present, only one bike is qualified for the competition, while the other four are only provided for daily training. In order to achieve the above goals, the talented high school of sports and physical training has proposed to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to buy 3 new bikes for the team athletes to train and compete. Because each type of bikes has different specifications and parameters, it takes the athletes about 2 months to practice, familiarize the vehicles so that they can handle the situation as well as ensure the safety on the track. As a result, if there is no bike for the athletes to train by the end of September, it will affect the expected results of the team. In the short term, all the members of the training committee as well as the cycling athletes are continuing to do physical training and daily practice on the determined tracks with the desire to reach the target set on the provincial achievements at the National Sports Festival in 2018.
