Vietnam’s aerobic team won three medals of each colour at the newly concluded Suzuki Cup 2019 - FIG World Cup Series Tokyo International in Japan.

The annual tournament took place from April 12 to 14, bringing together hundreds of dancers from 22 countries and territories.

Vietnam was represented by 16 athletes, including many young players who attended the event for the firs time.

In the final competition on Sunday, Vietnamese gymnasts performed brilliantly, clinching three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.

The gold medals were won by Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi, Le Hoang Phong, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Che Thanh and Nguyen Viet Anh (group); Thai Trinh Hong Phu and Huynh Tien Phuoc (pair, age group of 15-17); and Thai Trinh Hong Phu, Nguyen Quynh Nhu and Hoang Gia Bao (trio, 15-17 age group).

In last year’s tournament, Vietnam’s aerobic team scored three gold, two silver and four bronze medals.
