(HBO) - During the past years, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been widely deployed in Lac Son district. It has been helping to arouse the power of the great unity of the entire people, making an important contribution to implementing the objectives of the economic, cultural and social development in the locality.
The officials and people in Van Nghia commune (Lac Son) have been regularly playing sports to improve their health.
The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in the district has a great spread, creating a consensus and attracting a large number of people to participate in. Through the movement, it has promoted the potential and mobilized the strength of the great unity of the entire people in the implementation of local socio-economic, security and defense objectives.
In 2018, in the district there were 29,320 households meeting the cultural family standard, accounting for 86%, of which there were 11,498 households meeting the cultural family standard for 3 consecutive years. There were 291 out of the 363 residential areas and 149 out of the 156 agencies, units and enterprises meeting the cultural standard. 283 out of the 363 residential areas have had their well-equipped cultural houses and sports areas, ensuring the community activities. 8 out of the 28 communes have met the standards for new rural areas. Every year, the proportion of people participating in sports practice according to the standards reaches 29%, the number people practicing regularly is over 31%. And the number of the sports households has reached over 21%.
Mr. Bui Van Quyen, the Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Lac Son district says that the movements to build cultural families, cultural villages, good people, good jobs, typically advanced people are deployed appropriately with the people's hearts and aspirations. As a result, they have quickly come into life, and they have enthusiastically been responded by the social classes, creating a closer connection between the culture and the other fields of society. Through the emulation movements, there have been many typically outstanding collectives and individuals with good models, good ways to do, bringing high economic values.
With the participation of the Party committees, the appropriate authorities, the fronts and the associations, the unions and with the consensus and positive response of the people, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has achieved many encouraging results, promoting good traditional cultural values, the spirit of the community solidarity, the mutual affection, helping each other to develop the economy and to build a civilized lifestyle and a healthy cultural environment.
According to Mr. Bui Van Quyen, the Deputy Head of the District's Department of Culture and Information, to continue to the District’s Steering Committee has set out specific tasks and solutions to continue improving the quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". They have made a plan to get 86.5% of the households meeting the cultural family standard. 81.5% of the cultural residential areas, 96% of the agencies and the businesses meeting the cultural standard in 2019 in Lac Son District.
In recent years, Lac Thuy district has paid increasing attention to investing in cultural and sports infrastructure. These grassroots facilities have attracted a large number of residents to participate in recreational and cultural activities, physical training, and community engagement, contributing to the development of cultural life and the local socio-economic growth.
In recent years, the mass physical training and sports (PTS) movement in Hoa Binh province has developed strongly and spread widely. Regardless of age, gender or occupation, people actively participate in physical training, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic sports atmosphere within the community.
Recently, Hoa Binh’s athletes have continued to show strong performances at national-level competitions. Alongside elite athletes, several standout performers have emerged from grassroots sports movements, underlining the province’s growing sports culture.
From April 26 to 27, at the Provincial Sports Arena, the Hoa Binh Provincial Karate Federation organized the 2025 Hoa Binh Open ASUDO Karate Championship.
While modern sports like volleyball and football continue to grow in popularity, traditional folk games and ethnic sports remain a vibrant and essential part of cultural life among the Muong community in Hoa Binh province.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
