(HBO) - Currently, within the province there are 32 artificial mini grass football fields, nearly 30 swimming pools, 37 tennis courts, 1 golf course and more than 2,000 simple sports grounds in the hamlets and 724 sports clubs at the grassroots levels. All the above physical training and sports facilities have been built from the socialized sources invested by the enterprises, the organizations and the individuals.
Mr. Luu Huy Linh, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism says that the mobilization of the social resources for developing physical training and sports is developing, receiving the enthusiastic support from organizations and individuals. Typically, the Provincial Tennis Federation was established in 2006, the Karate Federation was established in 2017. The basic sports clubs at the grassroots levels were established and put into operation more effectively.
The promotion of the socialization for physical training and sports activities has been paid great attention by the leaders from the provincial to the district levels. This has contributed to the effective implementation of the Politburo Resolution No. 08 on "Strengthening the Party's leadership, creating a strong development of physical training and sports activities up to 2020". At the same time, it has been creating the favorable conditions in mobilizing the social resources to serve the development of physical training and sports activities of the social organizations.
The members of the Provincial Constitutional Club are actively practicing sports to improve their health.
In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has signed a joint resolution between the sectors, launching a lot of successful sports tournaments from the socialized sources. They include the swimming tournament across the traditional rivers of the television cup; the traditional Mountain Running tournament of Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup; the tournaments of Table Tennis, Badminton and Football of the Party Committee of the provincial agencies; the tournaments of Badminton and Volleyball of the Federation of the Provincial Labor; the Volleyball tournament for farmers and women, and many other socialization prizes.
In recent years, the campaign "All people train the bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho" has attracted a great number of people to participate in physical training and sports activities. 100% of the villages, the hamlets and the residential areas have established the volleyball team for men, women and the elderly people. Volleyball is favored by people from the city to the remote areas. In most the villages, hamlets and residential areas people have contributed money to buy nets and balls to practice.
In the coming time, the provincial sector of culture, sports and tourism will continue to build the mechanisms and policies on the socialization of collectives and individuals, contributing resources to physical training sports activities to encourage the support and the investment in physical training and sports activities and sports services.

From April 26 to 27, at the Provincial Sports Arena, the Hoa Binh Provincial Karate Federation organized the 2025 Hoa Binh Open ASUDO Karate Championship.
While modern sports like volleyball and football continue to grow in popularity, traditional folk games and ethnic sports remain a vibrant and essential part of cultural life among the Muong community in Hoa Binh province.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
