(HBO) - In Luong Son district, the sports movement of schools is quite lively. Up to now, there are 44 schools (43 public schools, 1 non-public school) with 21,669 students in the whole district. For the physical education, the schools continue to implement, supplement and complete the distribution of the physical education curriculum according to the guidelines to ensure the sufficient number of periods and the content of teaching under the MOET curriculum distribution.

100% of the schools maintain the regular morning or mid-period exercises. For self-selected sports, some schools have chosen chess, volleyball, badminton and so on to practice. At the end of the school year, they have inspected and reported the results of the standard inspection of physical training according to regulations.

Mr. Hoang Giang Nam, the Deputy Head of Education and Training Department of Luong Son district says that for school sports activities, schools as such Cuu Long, Hung Son, Hoa Son, Thanh Lap, Cao Thang, Hop Chau, Tan Thanh have established and maintained the sports clubs such as football, chess, swimming and athelete, volleyball, vovinam and so on. The morning and mid-period exercises and traditional martial arts lessons are maintained. They have practiced the general martial arts exercises with 60 movements. They have encouraged and motivated the students to practice overtime in sports according to personal interests such as athletics, gymnastics, ball, badminton, shuttlecock, chess and martial arts daily. They have organized for students to practice the moving games such as tug of war, badminton competitions, sack dance and so on.

The most exciting event is participating in the 8th Phu Dong Health Festival of the province in 2019, the Education and Training Department of Luong Son district won the first prize in shuttlecock, karatedo, vovinam; the second prize in badminton, elementary football and the third prize in junior high school for female volleyball.
