(HBO) - At the beginning of July, Luong Son district organized the 26th traditional cross-country run. From the early morning, a large number of the athletes were present at the district’s Cultural House to prepare for the competition.

The athletes competing in the 26th competition for the main men and young men on the track of traditional cross-country run in Luong Son district.

Mr. Hoang Viet Hai, the Director of the Center for Culture and Sports of Luong Son district says: "At present, the movement of practicing the mass sports, including cross-country running, has been popular among the people. This movement has been strongly developing is in Hop Hoa commune, Luong Son town and so on. The traditional cross-country run in Luong Son district has become a race for those who are interested in it. Thereby, a lot of young and potential athletes have been discovered. However, the summoning and gathering the athletes are still limited because they have to go to school or work away in the industrial zones, so the regular training is still difficult”.

 

Thanks to the good preparation, in this year's tournament, Hop Hoa commune has won the first prize in the whole team with 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 individual third prizes and 4 first team prizes. The coach Bui Chi Thiet won the best award for the coach. Through the prize, Hop Hoa commune has discovered some promising young athletes, playing well with achievements such as: Bui Thi Huong, Bach Ngoc Loan, Hoang Thai Tuan, Hoang Tran Manh Quan, Dinh Thi Nga and Hoang Minh Bao and so on.

 

With the interest of all levels, branches and unions and the enthusiastic response of the public in the district, participating in the physical training has contributed to improving health and promoting the physical training in general and in the cross-country run in particular. In the coming time, Luong Son district will continues to focus, invest and develop the strong sports so that the movement of the physical training of the district is increasingly developed. At the same time, they can discover, select and foster the potential force of the athletes to participate in provincial and national competitions. In particular, in the short term, they have set a determination to win a high prize in the traditional cross-country run of the 28th open tournament of Hoa Binh Newspaper in 2019, which will be held this August.
