(HBO) - The Championship of crossbow shooting, tug of war and stick pushing of Hoa Binh province in 2020 starts from June 9 to 12 at the Provincial Sports and Physical Gymnasium. This is the first provincial sports competition organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism after a long time of suspending to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemics. The athletes are actively training to get ready to compete and achieve the outstanding achievements.

On 27 May, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued the Notice No. 609 on adjusting the plan to organize the provincial and the national sports tournaments in 2020. Accordingly, the provincial sports tournaments organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tournaments at the sector level organized by sectors, unions and inter-unions and the national tournament hosted by the province will be held again from June 2020. The provincial Championship of crossbow shooting, tug of war and stick pushing in 2020 marks the return of home sports, promising to be an attractive tournament for sports fans, attracting hundreds of athletes from the whole province.

 

Over the past years, our province has always paid attention to preserving and conserving the ethnic sports such as crossbow shooting, tug of war, stick pushing ... Besides propagating the benefits of the physical training and sports in general, the national sports in particular, the province has still maintained many sports tournaments, focusing on the ethnic sports and actively integrating the ethnic sports into the traditional festivals ...Thereby, the movement of practicing ethnic sports has been increasingly improved, spreading widely in most localities.

 

In order to compete in the provincial sports tournaments, the localities have carefully selected the athlete force, who have achieved high results in the sports tournament at the district’s or the city’s level, or at the sports tournaments from previous years.

 

With the thoughtful and thorough preparation, the determination and the training efforts, it is hoped that the athletes will win many high achievements in the next tournaments. As a result, it will be contributing to preserving, conserving and promoting the beautiful cultural values for the province's ethnic sports. At the same time, it helps to recruit the talented athletes to compete in the national and the regional sports tournaments.
