(HBO) - Carrying out the campaign "The entire people train their bodies following the great example of Uncle Ho”, in recent years, the movement of sports and physical training in the district has been developing, bringing the practical results.

Up to now, there are 24 amusement parks of sports and physical training, 116 volleyball courts, 116 football fields, 12 swimming pools, 1 gym in the whole district, which meet the people's needs of sports and physical training of the local people, the agencies and the units, contributing to promoting the mass sports activities towards socialization. Thereby, the number of people practicing in sports and physical training has been increasing. Up to now, in the whole district there are 31.3% of people who practice gymnastics regularly, 22.4% sports households, 43 sports clubs, 240 sports teams, and the rate of schools ensuring the physical education, the extracurricular sports and physical training for students has reached 100%.

The movement of sports and physical training in the district has really entered the social life, attracting all classes of people, ages, and members to participate regularly in practice in many subjects. The types of training are established in many forms: clubs, sports teams, interest groups in agencies, units, schools, residential areas with many sports such as: clubs of martial arts, physical fitness, gymnastics, table tennis, badminton, soccer ... In which, many clubs, regular practice points have beeb contributing to promoting the movement of sports and physical training in the district.

In order for the movement of mass sports and physical in the district to gradually improve the quality and the efficiency, the district organizes 8-10 sports tournaments at the district level annually. They participate in provincial sports competitions, and they have been coordinating with other departments, sectors, unions, agencies, units, schools to organize sports tournaments on major national holidays, the anniversaries of branches, attracting a large number of people to participate. Thereby, they can discover and select the sports talents to continue fostering and creating a source of the district’s athletes to participate in provincial competitions.

In the coming time, the district will continue to promote the socialization of investment resources to build sports institutions, maintain and promote the mass sports activities from the district to the grassroots levels, contributing to promoting the development of the movement of sports and physical training in the district.
