(HBO) - At the Olympic Running Day for the health of the entire population and the Traditional Marathon Tournament of Tan Lac District in 2020, the sports team of Ngo Luong commune continued to stand at the top. The spirit of sports practicing and training following the example of the great Uncle Ho, the passion aroused in all classes of the people have helped the upland sports shine more brightly.

The pair of athletes, the uncle & the nephew, Bui Van Quyn - Bui Duc Thanh have won the gold medal in the content of men's championship and young men at the Tan Lac Traditional Marathon Championship in 2020.

Born in 2008, Bui Duc Thanh from Luong Ca village is one of the two youngest athletes in this tournament. It is prouder that after the successful breakthroughs, this young athlete has brought to Ngo Luong’s sports team a valuable gold medal in the content of 4 km distance for young men. Very few people know that the one who "transmits fire” and orientates Thanh to marathon is his father - Mr. Bui Van Quan, who used to be a stick pushing athlete and won high rankings at the commune, district and provincial tournaments many times. Another athlete who made the beautiful name for the family line and the typical sports family is Bui Van Quyn, the younger brother of the athlete Bui Van Quan and Bui Duc Thanh’s uncle. He is also a nuclear athlete of Ngo Luong commune’s sports team. He has got remarkable achievements with the gold medals in the main male content, the male champion at the district-level, the Traditional Marathon Championship, the Traditional Marathon Championship of Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup. And this time the owner of the of the gold medal for the male championship with a distance of 6 km is not out of reach.

Many people refer to Ngo Luong commune as the "sports land” because the mass sports activities there seem to have been absorbed in the blood and flesh. With the marathon not only the male athletes, many female athletes of the communal sports team are also excellent faces in the competition, contributing to the achievements of the first prize for the whole group of Tan Lac Traditional Marathon Tournament in 2020.

In addition to the favorite sports of marathon, the children in the "sport land” also have love for the national sports (stick pushing, crossbow shooting, tug of war), modern sports (soccer, volleyball).
