(HBO) - In two days, from March 27th to 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the tournaments of table tennis, badminton, tennis, tug of the sector of Culture, Sports and Tourism and awarded the Medal "For the Cause of Culture, Sports and Tourism” to those who have been contributing a lot to the development of the sector. This is a successful event to celebrate the success of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party, the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and 75 years of Vietnamese Sports Day.
The athletes are
competing in the badminton content for male and female doubles under the age of
45.
There were 255
athletes of 16 delegations from the agencies and units directly under the
management of the sector in the province taking part in the competition. They
competed for 11 sets of medals for table
After 2 days of
the exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded medals to the
athletes with high achievements in the competition events. The results (first
prize only) are as follows: The table tennis: The male singles under the age of
45: Bui Van Hoat (Yen Thuy); the male singles from 46 years old: Ngo Van Cuong
(Mai Chau); the female singles: Dinh Thi Bich Dam (Hoa Binh City). The
badminton: The male doubles under the age of 45 years: Bui Van Hung - Tran Ngoc
Thanh (Yen Thuy); the male couples over 46 years old: Do Quoc Cuong - Ha Ngoc
Thien (the Center of Culture - Cinema); the female couples: Kha Thi Quyen - Bui
Thanh Chien (the Center of Culture - Cinema); the male & female doubles
under the age of 45 Nguyen Dinh Tam - Sa Le Na (the Art Group); the male &
female couples over 46 years: Do Viet Cuong - Nguyen Thi Thu (Da Bac). The tennis:
the male doubles under 45 years old: Xa Bui Sam - Nguyen Trong Nghia (the
Gifted School for sports training and competition); the male doubles over 46
years: Dao Tien Cuong - Dang Tuan Hung (the Office of the Department). The tug
of war: The first prize was awarded to Yen Thuy district; the second prize was
awarded to the Office of the Department and third prize was awarded to Luong
Son district.
In recent years, Lac Thuy district has paid increasing attention to investing in cultural and sports infrastructure. These grassroots facilities have attracted a large number of residents to participate in recreational and cultural activities, physical training, and community engagement, contributing to the development of cultural life and the local socio-economic growth.
In recent years, the mass physical training and sports (PTS) movement in Hoa Binh province has developed strongly and spread widely. Regardless of age, gender or occupation, people actively participate in physical training, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic sports atmosphere within the community.
Recently, Hoa Binh’s athletes have continued to show strong performances at national-level competitions. Alongside elite athletes, several standout performers have emerged from grassroots sports movements, underlining the province’s growing sports culture.
From April 26 to 27, at the Provincial Sports Arena, the Hoa Binh Provincial Karate Federation organized the 2025 Hoa Binh Open ASUDO Karate Championship.
While modern sports like volleyball and football continue to grow in popularity, traditional folk games and ethnic sports remain a vibrant and essential part of cultural life among the Muong community in Hoa Binh province.
A total of 85 young players from across Hoa Binh province recently participated in the provincial Youth Table Tennis Tournament. Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
