(HBO) - According to the plan of the Organizing Committee of the 6th Sports Congress of Cao Phong district, 100% of the communes and the town will have finished organizing the sports congresses at the grassroot levels by the end of June. Currently, the preparation for the Sports Congress at the grassroot levels is actively being carried out by thye localities so that the Congress can take place to ensure the requirements and plans set out.

The Sports Congress of Dung Phong commune (Cao Phong) has been held on a large scale, attracting the attention and the encouragement of the People.

In April, Dung Phong commune successfully organized the Sports Congress. This is the commune selected to hold the typical congress to evaluate and draw lessons for the following organizing units. With the careful and elaborate preparation, the Sports Congress in Dung Phong commune attracted 400 athletes from 7 delegations from the hamlets, competing in 5 sports. They included football, volleyball, soft volleyball, shooting crossbows, pushing sticks and chess. These are all the strong sports, suitable for the local conditions and they are in the 10 sports competitions of the district’s sports congress. The competitions were held throughout before and during the Congrress. In order to ensure safety in the context of Covid-19 prevention and control, the competitions were arranged to be spaced, limiting to being held at the same time, however, the competitions were still very exciting, uniting and joyful, attracting the attention, following and the cheer of the People.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Huy, the Deputy Head of the District’s Department of Culture and Sports says: According to the plan, the sports congress at the communual level will be completed before June, with the scale of organizing competitions of 5 or more subjects, in which the sports that are loved by the people will be focussed on. According to the specific conditions, the priority will be given to organizing athletics, football, volleyball, ethnic sports in accordance with the local tradition. The 6th District’s Sports Congress will take place in March 2022 at Cao Phong district’s stadium. At the congress, there will be 10 sports competitions, including volleyball, soft volleyball, table tennis, crossbow shooting, tug of war, Chinese chess, chess, marathon running and ethletics. Currently, the preparation for the 6th District’s Sports Congress is kicking off, the conditions for a successful congress are being ready. However, before the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemics, the District’s People's Committee has isued the document on strengthening the implementation of measures to prevent Covid-19 in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. In which, it is proposed to suspend the opening of the sports congress in the communes and the town, the sports competitions, the entertainment activities and the sports activities in the district until further notice.

Due to the suspension of sports tournaments and the opening of the sport congress at the grassroot levels, by the end of May, only 1 commune had finished the sport congress at the grassroots, the remaining communes organized from 2 - 3 sports. Particularly, 10 sports competitions in the district’s sports congress have not yet taken place. Despite many difficulties, the district requires the relevant units to propagate and mobilize the civil servants, the officials, the employees, the coaches and the athletes to raise awareness and actively implement the measures of Covid-19 prevention. At the same time, it is important to proactively prepare all conditions well, so that when there is a new announcement about the rescheduling of the sports activities, the sports congresses at the communual level and the sports tournaments within the framework of competitions of the 6th district’s will be held Sports Congress.

Overcoming the difficulties, implementing on schedule and the scale of the sports congresses at all levels is a premise for the district to promote the movement of sports and physical training, mobilizing the People to continue effectively implementing the campaign "All people train their body following the great example Uncle Ho”.
