(HBO) - Currently, due to the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemics in Kim Boi district, the sports activities with large crowds have been ordered to be suspended, and all of the gyms have been closed simultaneously. With the motto of stopping gathering in large crowds but do not stop exercising, the people have chosen safe forms of exercises to improve the health, ensuring the disease prevention and control. Every afternoon, Mr. Bui Van Lam from Trao hamlet, Tu Son commune (Kim Boi) takes advantage of his free time to exercise to improve his health.

Mr. Bach The Chung’s family from Bai Chao hamlet, Tu Son commune gathers in the home yard to do exercises.

Recently, at 6 am and 5 pm. As usual, Mr. Bach The Chung’s family from Bai Chao hamlet, Tu Son commune gathers in the home yard to do exercises together. Mr. Chung and his wife have surfed the internet to see the nutrition exercises for the elderly, and their two sons have taken up weight lifting and reviewed the bodybuilding exercises during the time when they are not able to go to the gym near their housse. Not only Mr. Chung's family, the other business households in Bai Chao area also regularly remind each other to do exercises. Ms. Bach Thi Khanh, a small trader at Bai Chao market says: My job of trading and taking care of small children makes me not have much free time, however, I still maintain the habit of walking every afternoon. When I have picked up the children and packed up the goods, my 2 children and I chose a spacious, airy space around the house to take advantage of exercise and play gentle sports. Children ride bicycles and play with each other happily. Doing exercises and playing sports help improve health, increase the resistance to fight diseases, the children are less bored because they cannot go out with their friends as usual.

Not long ago, at the community house of 11 hamlets in Tu Son commune, every afternoon people gathered to play football, volleyball, badminton with laughter and chatter. However, since positive cases for SARS-CoV-2 virus has continuously appeared in the district, the activities with large gatherings such as wedding, pre-wedding, culture, arts, and sports ones have been asked to be paused. That does not mean that people stop doing exercises and playing sports. The single exercises or exercises in small groups have been applied flexibly, depending on the living conditions and time of each family.

Ms. Bach Thi Theu, a socio-cultural officer, says: Even in the unpredictable development of Covid-19 epidemics, the spirit of doing exercises and playing sports in the commune is still always exciting. Instead of gathering in large number of pepole, they have actively practiced in the scale of families or groups of the households living near each other. The people mainly practice the sports with the participation of few people. They are table tennis, badminton, cycling, walking, rope skipping. The commune has also actively propagandized so that the people have actively promoted the implementation of the campaign "All people doing exercises and playing sports following the great example of Uncle Ho”, which has been enthusiastically responded and implemented by the People.

In the first 9 months of this year, in the commune there have been nearly 1,500 people doing exercises and playing sports and 434 households winning the title of the sports family. In which, there are active families such as Mr. Trieu Van Hien’s, Ly Van Son’s (Ha Son hamlet), Bach Cong Tinh’s (Hop Nhat hamlet), Bui Van Chuong’s (Cu hamlet), Bui Van Lam’s (Trao hamlet)... In 2021, the commune participated in the district’s volleyball championship and won a bronze medal. They also took part in the tournament of table tennis in the district’s congress of sports and physical exercises and won the silver medal for badminton and the bronze medal for ping pong.

The epidemics has been affecting all aspects of the social life, including sports and physical exercises. However, the people always remind each other that "health is everything, health makes sure to work and fight against the epidemics”. Thanks to the active and regular exercises, the people's health and spirit are increasingly improved, strengthening the connection and the community exchange to fight against the epidemics.
