(HBO) - On February 24th, in Phu Nghia commune, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district held a ceremony to launch the Olympic Running Day for the People's Health and the Marathon Championship in 2022. This is one of the sports competitions in the format of the 7th Sports Congress of Lac Thuy district.


 The organizing committtee are awarding prizes to the athletes with the outstanding achievements.

The Marathon Championship in Lac Thuy in 2022 has attracted the participation of 60 athletes from 10 communes and the town in the district. The athletes competed in 4 events: male champion (7km), female champion (5km), young male championship (5km), young female championship (3km).

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 individual first, 4 individual second, 4 individual third, 12 individual consolation prizes; 2 firt teammate awards 2nd and 1 teammate award. The results (only the first prizes), individual prize for the men's champion content: Dinh Xuan Tuan (Chi Ne town); the female champion: Hoang Kieu Oanh (Chi Ne town); the young man: Do Danh Long (Phu Nghia commune); the young woman: Bui Thanh Tinh (Hung Thi commune). The team prize for the first male and young: Phu Thanh Commune; First female and young: Hung Thi Commune.

To ensure the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemics, all the officials, the coaches and the athletes of the participating units must have a certificate of injection of 2 or more vaccines, a certificate of negative test results with SARS-CoV-2, and strictly comply with the "5K” regulation of the Ministry of Health.

This is an activity of the practical significance to launch the movement "Be healthy to build and defend the Fatherland”, maintaining and developing the movement of physical training among the People. At the same time, the athletes with the excellent results will be chossen to participate in the 15th Traditional Marathon Tournament of Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup in 2022.
