(HBO) Luong Son District has just held the opening ceremony of 2017 Sports and Physical Training Competition. It welcomed Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with many leaders of the provincial and district departments and offices.

 

This festival includes 1823 athletes from communes and towns of the district attending with 8 competition subjects. To proceed for the district sports and physical training competition, 20 communes and towns had organized the sports festivals with 4281 athletes. The Sports and physical training competition of Luong Son District is a promoted motivation for the campaign "All people practice doing the exercise following Uncle Ho’s example”. Via the Competition Festival, the excellent athletes will be selected to supplement into the high achievement teams of the district for preparing to compete at the provincial 6th Sports and Physical Training Competition in 2018. There were about 31 delegations of agencies, commune offices with flag procession, Uncle Ho’s photo procession, marches to praise the forces and co-starring. After the opening ceremony, the delegations participated in the rest 3/8 subjects of the Competition.

About delegation prizes: the first prize for Hop Hoa commune with 9 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals; the second prize for Luong Son town with 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals; the third prize for Cao Ram commune with 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.

About individual prizes: the first prize of running 100m for male is Bui Minh Duong of Lam Son commune, for female is Nguyen Thi Linh Na of Hop Chau commune; the first prize of running 400m for male is Nguyen Viet Sang of Hoa Son commune, for female is Dinh Hong Tham of Cao Ram commune; the first prize of running 800m for female is Quach Mai Thuong of Tan Thanh commune; the first prize of running 1500m for male is Hoang Van Sao of Cao Ram commune; the first prize of weightlifting for male is Do Van Toan of Cu Yen commune; the first prize of weightlifting for female is Nguyen Thi Linh Na of Hop Chau commune; the first prize of long jump for male is Nguyen Van Loc of Hop Chau commune.
