(HBO) – Established in March 2021, the Hoa Binh Football Club with coach Le Quoc Vuong and footballers from reputable training centres across Vietnam has achieved progress, particularly its promotion to Vietnamese National Football First League (Gold Star V.League 2).

Matches before Gold Star V.League 2 offer an opportunity for Hoa Binh FC players to gain experience.

The Gold Start V.League 2 is the second-highest professional tournament in Vietnam, run by the Vietnam Professional Football joint Stock Company (VPF). On February 22, the VPF conducted a draw and scheduled the matches for the 2023 National Cup and the Gold Start V.League 2.

Accordingly, the Gold Start V.League 2 is expected to have the participation of 11 professional football clubs, namely Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Hoa Binh, Hue, Long An, PVF-CAND, Phu Dong, Phu Tho, Quang Nam, and Saigon. The tournament will take place from April 7 to August 2023. In preparation of the tournament, the coaches and the players of Hoa Binh FC are working hard.

Ahead of Gold Start V.League 2, Hoa Binh FC had two matches against Phu Tho football club and PVF-CAND football club. Hoa Binh FC won an overwhelming victory 5 - 2 against Phu Tho FC and drew 0 - 0 with PVF-CAND.

Hoa Binh FC coach Vuong said that the two matches ahead of V.League 2 will help sharpen the players’ skills, tactics, and spirit. Moreover, thanks to the matches, the coaching board can find problems to fix. There is still about one month left until the V.League 2 kicks off. Hoa Binh FC coach said that the team is completing preparation in training and personnel. "We will review and consider positions to promptly supplement and complete the team. In about two weeks, the team will finish the physical training course," he said.

According to VPF's draw results, in its first match, Hoa Binh FC will face Ba Ria - Vung Tau. On February 27 afternoon, Vietnamese national team and the Vietnam U23 team coach Philippe Troussier approved the list of the U23 Vietnam team. Notably, among the 41 players to be called for the national team, there are five of Hoa Binh FC, namely Nguyen Duy Dung (goalkeeper), Bui Ngoc Long, Nguyen Anh Tu, Nguyen Nam Truong (midfielder), and Tran Van Thang (defender). From March 1, the five players must go to the U23 Vietnam team for training.

Nguyen Xuan Hien, Chairman of Hoa Binh FC, said the call of Hoa Binh FC's young players to the U23 Vietnam team is both an honour and a difficulty for the team as this year is the first time it competes in the V.Leage 2 where it aims to join the top six.

Over the past time, the team has recorded several achievements. In the coming time, it hopes to continue receiving attention and investment. It is also hoped that a football training center will be established to recruit local football talents to provide players for Hoa Binh FC./.
