(HBO) - Mai Chau district has just organized the launching ceremony of the campaign "All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”, the Olympic running day "For the health of the whole people” and the tournament of crossbow shooting, tug of war, and stick push in 2023.


The organizing committee was giving prizes to the athletes in the stick pushing tourrnament. 

There were 380 atheletes from 16 communes and townships taking part in the competition of crossbow shooting, tug of war and stick pushing. In which, there were 90 athletes taking part in pushing sticks, 80 athletes taking part in shooting crossbows, 210 athletes taking part in tug of war. The athletes competed in the following contents: men's tug of war, men's and women's tug of war; male stick pushing for the weight of 51 to over 90 kg, female stick pushing for the weight of 51 to over 73 kg; crossbow shooting for men and women.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the medals to athletes with high achievements in the competition contents, including 23 first prizes, 23 second prizes, and 44 third prizes.

Previously, the delegates and over 500 people representing all classes of people, the armed forces, the union members, the youth, the students, the athletes from the communes, towns, agencies, units and schools in the district has enthusiastically participated in running in response to the Olympic Running Day "For the health of the whole people” in 2023.
