(HBO) - The movement "All people to unite to build cultural life” in Ngoc Son commune, Lac Son district has linked many campaigns, promoting the leadership role of all-level Party committees, authorities, mass organisations, and people in the community, said Bui Van Chuc, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune.

Over the years, the movement has been implemented effectively in all aspects. All six hamlets in the commune now have art teams, sports clubs, and a club to preserve and promote the Muong ethnic group's cultural identity. The commune now has 12 volleyball courts and three football pitches. Cultural houses in the hamlets are upgraded to ensure community activities.
Regarding the cultural environment, cultural standards are widely popularised and concretised by agencies, organisations, and hamlets. Agencies and hamlets pay attention to keeping environmental sanitation. Now, households currently do not keep buffaloes, cows, chickens, and pigs under their stilts and significantly limit littering in streams and creeks.
Local people also follow a civilised lifestyle in organising weddings, funerals, and festivals and strictly implement democratic conventions and regulations. In the last five months, no weddings in the commune were found to violate rules of civilised lifestyle. Cultural and sports activities associated with major celebrations are held, joining preserving, and promoting traditional cultural identity.
Movements to build cultural families and cultural residential areas have been welcomed. Every year, over 90% of registered households strive to achieve the title of cultural family. In 2022, up to 85% of the total households in the commune were recognised cultural households. Many households won the title for three consecutive years; 45 households were recognized as typical cultural families for three consecutive years. All six villages gained the title "Cultural Residential Areas”.
The movement "All people unite to build cultural life” is also associated with the movement "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and a civilised city", forming a major cultural movement, that positively affects many areas of social life.
As people actively implemented the programme on new-style rural areas, the look of rural areas has changed a lot with traffic works, reservoirs, dams, and cultural works to be built. The average income per capita in the commune in 2022 reached 32 million VND (nearly 1,400 USD). The movement not only contributes to improving the quality of life, enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people, but also preserving the foundations of moral values, forming cultural codes of conduct, and building a healthy cultural environment in residential areas./.

Organised by the provincial Centre for Youth Activities, the event was part of activities to celebrate the 94th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2025) and the 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – 2025).
