(HBO) – In 2017, there have been a lot of events related to the sports and physical training activities and is considered as a successful year of the provincial sports and physical training industry.

Especially, this is the year of organizing the Sports and Physical Training Competitions at all levels to prepare for the 6th Sports and Physical Training Competition of the province in 2018. Therefore, right at the beginning of the year, there was an exciting atmosphere at all the localities. Through the organizations of Sports and Physical Training Competitions at all levels, the sport achievements have been raised up to select the excellent athletes for the province to attend the 8th National Sports and Physical Training Competition in 2018.
With these goals, all the districts and the city have concentrated on directing and deploying effectively the organizations of Sports and Physical Training Competitions at all levels. Accordingly, in 2017 there were 210/210 communes, wards and town organizing successfully the Sports and Physical Training Competitions and 100% districts and the city completed organizing the Sports and Physical Training Competitions. For the subjects that will be held in the 6th Provincial Sports and Physical Training Competitions in 2018, the province has completed organizing 8/14 subjects and presented 87 medals, awarded 375 standardized athletes. The rest of 6 subjects of draught, chess, athletics, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, tug of war will be held in the 6th Provincial Sports and Physical Training Competitions at the end of March in 2018.
Particularly, Sports and Physical Training Competitions at all levels have been held with the guarantee of the scope from 5 to 8 sport subjects, in which focused on some popular ones like volleyball, football, athletics, crossbow shooting, tug of war, stick pushing, etc. which attracted thousands of athletes to compete and people to cheer up for the teams.
It can be seen that, together with the development of society – economy, the movements of sports and physical training in the province have been growing strongly both in depth and width, attracting a lot of people to participate. The movements of sports and physical training have come into the social life, spread widely in all the local residences with many diversified and abundant activities. In particular, some sports attracting a large number of people to practice regularly include volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics, fitness supplements, tennis, etc. to not only improve people’s health but also create a healthy and useful playground for people, contributing to repelling social evils in localities. Up to now, in the province, there have been 700 sport clubs operating regularly which gets 100% of the plan; 47,220 households of sports, which is about 23,2%; 245,220 people practicing sports regularly, which accounts for 30% of the plan, including 69,687 people have achieved the standard physical training regime. In the year of 2017, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated to organize 12 the provincial sports competitions and 88 sports competitions in the districts and the city.
The year of 2017 closes by marking the success in the provincial tasks of Sports and Physical Training. The movements of Sports and Physical Training were taken into consideration to develop widely and deeply. To promote these achievements, in the year of 2018, the Department of Sports and Physical Training will continue taking care of promoting the popular sports and physical training activities and concentrating on fostering, training athletes in some strong sport subjects to get many medals in the Area and National Competitions.
