(HBO) – Authorities of Hoa Binh province have paid attention to setting up points of sale to introduce and sell OCOP products in a bid to promote connection between producers and consumers.
Hoa Binh boasts 70 provincial-level OCOP products. Through distribution
channels, these OCOP products have reached more local customers and those in
other localities.
To meet the increasing demand in the market, a number of points of sale
introducing and selling Hoa Binh’s OCOP products have been put into operation,
attracting a crowd of consumers.

Pham Duc Quang, who is charge of a point of sale introducing and selling OCOP
products at No.3 Hoang Dieu street in Hoa Binh city, said the stall has over 60
local OCOP products, and a number of OCOP products from other localities. All
products sold at this store have labels and OCOP certificates of the
authorities, he said.
However, due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of consumers
to the store still remains limited, he added.
To promote the introduction of OCOP products and seek consumption channels for
local OCOP products, the local authorities have paid attention to setting up
stores to introduce and sell OCOP products.
Hoa Binh has two stores introducing and selling OCOP products in Hoa Binh city
and Luong Son district.
In addition, the provincial Farmers' Association has cooperated with the
Farmers' Association of Ninh Binh province to establish a store in Hoa Binh
city, which supplies agricultural and OCOP products of the two localities.
These stores have proven effective, helping connect producers and consumer, and
promote the consumption of local products.
The establishment of stores selling OCOP products is a flexible step to in
buiding trademarks and promote consumption, thus expanding markets for local
products and promote exports.
Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade Pham Tien Dung said
the agencies has been organizing trade promotion activities, buiding trademarks
and creating distribution channels for local OCOP products.
The department has coordinated with the provincial Department of Agriculture
and Rural Development, the Farmers’ Association, and theprovincial
Cooperatives Union to remove difficulties in selling local products.
The Department of Industry and Trade is planning to open stores introducing and
selling OCOP products along the Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road route targeting
consumers from neighboring localities.
