HBO – According to the People’s Committee of Ky Son district, the campaign mobilising all people to safeguard national security in the district recorded positive results in 2018, in close association with other campaigns launched in the locality, thereby maintaining political security, social order and safety and facilitating the district’s political tasks.
In the year, local authorities proactively
stepped up communications work on crime prevention and combat, made known
tricks and activities of criminals and called on people to respect the law.
Particularly, the district’s justice office
instructed the continuation of activities of the club "Youth with the Law” and
of 82 reconciliation groups. It also organised 30 sessions disseminating the
law with more than 5,500 participants.
Police
in Mong Hoa commune (Ky Son district) regularly meet with local residents to master
the situation, thus ensuring security and order.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
chapter in Ky Son district worked with local police to arrange 10 sessions,
drawing over 5,000 members. The district’s labour union held 40 similar events
for local workers while the education and training office enhanced training on
crime, drugs and social evils prevention and combat at 11 schools.
Authorities in Ky Son district has paid due
attention to the preparation and implementation of the campaign mobilising all
people to safe national security. The district directed the building of two
typical advanced models in the campaign, aiming to ensure security, order and
mass mobilisation. Those models include a security-national defence cluster
between armed forces in the district and a national defence security cultural
village in Can 1 hamlet, Doc Lap commune.
Ky Son also ordered the consolidation and
frequent activities of people’s security, self-managing and reconciliation
groups. The district is home to 18 typical advanced models with 620 members.
In 2018, police in the district received
many valuable tip-offs from people, and handled 72 reports on criminals, which
help to detect and arrest 14 suspects.
Fines were declared upon 41 suspects in 21
cases which have yet to bear criminal responsibility. Police handled 27
investigations in the period, with solving rate hitting over 85 percent.
The people in Hoa Binh province are aware of the need to build and preserve the cultural traditions and unique customs of their communities, especially those related to ethnic identities and family values which serve as foundation for a vibrant, tradition-rich Hoa Binh, enriching community life. In recent years, the province’s Party Committee, authorities, and residents have paid heed to building and developing family values and fostering human standards in the new era.
The festival of great national solidarity and culture in 2024 was held at the communal house of Da Bac district on November 5. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan and leaders of departments and sectors attended the event.

The model of intergenerational self-help club (ISC) has been expanded in Mai Chau district over recent times, contributing to sharing and motivating the disadvantaged people, especially the elderly, to improve their lives.
Following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings that emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, the trade union at all levels in Hoa Binh has effectively implemented patriotism emulation movements, especially the "effective, creative working” movement. Responding to the movement, local workers, public servants, and officials have proposed many creative and applicable ideas, helping spread the movement to all agencies, units, and businesses.
