From the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district directed the agencies and the specialized departments to collaborate with the district's Social Insurance to promote and encourage the residents to participate in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance. 


The staff of Lac Thuy District’s Social Insurance are promoting the voluntary social insurance policies to the small traders in Phu Nghia Commune.

The district also disseminated information on the social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies through its electronic information portal and social media platforms. As a result, by the end of July, in the district there were 4,635 people participating in compulsory social insurance, 1,412 in voluntary social insurance, 4,146 in unemployment insurance, and 54,442 in health insurance, achieving 93.63% of the plan, with a health insurance coverage rate of 87.5%.

In the whole district, 52,208 out of the 52,243 people have integrated their health insurance cards with their chip-based citizen identification cards, reaching 99.93%. All the medical facilities in the district provide health insurance services using citizen identification cards. The health insurance payments for medical examinations and treatments have totaled over 16.2 billion VND, serving 24,245 people. Additionally, 100% of the social insurance lump-sum payments were made through non-cash methods, and 24.8% of pension payments were made through bank accounts.
