The Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board held a meeting on December 9 to look into some socio-economic development issues. The event was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

At the event, the Party Civil Affairs Board of the
provincial People’s Committee proposed the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board
consider adjustments to the investment policy on the Lac Thuy resort and
cultural tourism area in Phu Lao commune, now Phu Nghia commune, of Lac Thuy
district.
Members of the Standing Board basically agreed on the adjustments.
Secretary Long asked the Party
Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People’s Committee to order Lac Thuy
district and the investor to seriously comply with legal regulations and ensure
the project is implemented smoothly, completed on schedule and reaps fruitful
results, thus contributing to socio-economic development, budget revenue, and
employment for locals.
The meeting also scrutinised a proposal by the Party Civil Affairs Board of the
provincial People’s Committee on allocating financial assistance to localities
for implementing two resettlement projects for victims of Typhoon Yagi.
Showing his support, Long assigned the Party Civil Affairs Board
to quickly carry out this project in line with regulations and efficiently use
the financial aid so as to help typhoon victims soon stabilise their lives.
On May 15, the Hoa Binh Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation launched the "Digital Literacy for All” movement. The event was held both in-person and virtually, connecting provincial authorities with district-level Party committees and local communities across communes, wards, and townships.
