The Party Committee and Command of Military Region 3, in coordination with the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province, on May 16 presented an informatics classroom to the Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School and delivered gifts to policy beneficiaries, low-income households, and underprivileged students in Doan Ket commune, Da Bac district.

The event was attended by Major General Luong Van Kiem, Commander of Military Region 3; Major General Nguyen Duc Hung, Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the province's Military Command; Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; along with representatives from the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, agencies, and local authorities.

At the event, the Military Region 3 Command presented the Doan Ket Primary and Secondary School with a fully equipped informatics classroom comprising 21 computers, voltage stabilisers, and air conditioners to support the teaching and learning of computer science.

Provincial leaders also presented 50 gift packages to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in the commune. Additionally, the Hoa Binh provincial Military Command donated 15 bicycles to underprivileged students with good academic results as part of the "Companion to School” programme.

This initiative is part of efforts to implement the National Target Programme for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021–2030 period. It is also among activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Military Region 3’s armed forces (October 31, 1945– 2025), demonstrating the care and commitment of the Party Committee of the Military Region 3 Command, the Hoa Binh provincial leadership, and local armed forces toward improving education quality, particularly in ethnic minority and mountainous communities.

Speaking at the event, Major General Luong Van Kiem expressed his hope that teachers and students will efficiently use the newly donated IT equipment. He encouraged them to actively engage in the "digital literacy for all" movement, continuously improve teaching and learning quality, and strive for academic excellence, contributing to the sustainable development of their hometown.
