(HBO) – A working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung on February 23 visited the Esquel Garment Manufacturing Vietnam (Esquel Vietnam) at the Luong Son Industrial Park in the northern province of Hoa Binh.

Esquel Vietnam is an example of creating jobs for local labourers.
Officially launched in 2013, the company has enjoyed stable operation and
well-implemented policies for its workers.
The company is providing jobs for 4,000 people with average monthly
income of 5-6 million VND per person. After the 2018 Lunar New Year holiday,
all labourers returned to work, starting their production plans this year. The
company is projected to expand its production, generating 5,000 jobs in 2019.
Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung lauded Esquel Vietnam’s efforts to
bolster production and business, as well as care for its workers. He also
voiced his hope that local authorities will create optimal conditions for the
company and other businesses operating efficiently at the Luong Son Industrial
Park. Thus, they could fulfil all production targets and plans, contributing to
the province’s economic structure shifting./.

The northern province of Hoa Binh, with over 467,000 hectares of natural forest and more than 100,000 hectares of production forest, holds significant potential for carbon credit market development.
Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
