(HBO) – Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh province’s Party Committee Bui Van Tinh and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh on March 12 inspected the construction progress of the Hoa Lac-Hoa Binh road.
The investment project to
build Hoa Lac- Hoa Binh road and upgrade National Road 6 – the Xuan Mai-Hoa
Binh section under the BOT form has a total length of 43.4 km.
It includes two sub-projects: the Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh road with 25.7 km in
length has a total investment of 2,989.12 billion VND invested by the Ministry
of Defence’s Corporation 36, the Hanoi Investment and Trade JSC, and the Truong
Loc Construction and Trade JSC. The deadline for the construction of the roads
has been extended many times due to difficulties.

In a meeting to review
the implementation of the project in early 2018, Minister of Transport Nguyen
Van The asked investors to complete the project by August 31.
The Ministry will terminate
the contract with investors if they have no measures to deal with the delay.
All consequences resulting from the contract violations will be based on the
contract and responsibilities of relevant parties will be taken into account.
Secretary of the
provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh urged investors to closely work with localities
and relevant agencies to completely resolve difficulties, focusing on mobilising
human resources and equipment and machinery for the construction; building detailed
construction plans; regularly monitoring the progress; and replacing poorly-performing
contractors with better ones, towards completing the project under the set
progress.
He also underlined the need to ensure design
requirements and traffic safety.
Administrative reform has been identified as a key priority in enhancing state governance, improving the business environment, and facilitating services for citizens and enterprises.
The Standing Board of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee met on March 18 to review and guide major investment projects aimed at boosting local socio-economic development.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
