HBO – The Hoa Binh province People’s Committee held a working session on March 19 to review the implementation of conclusions of its Chairman on carrying out projects using land relating to resorts, eco urban areas, and mining in Luong Son district; a project on adjustment of the general planning for Hoa Binh city by 2035; and another project to build Hoa Binh province’s inter-sectoral headquarters.
An overview of the conference
According
to adjustmentsof the general planning for Hoa Binh city by 2035, the city
borders Phu Tho province’s Thanh Son district to the north; Hoa Binh’s Cao
Phong district to the south; Hoa Binh’s Da Bac district to the west; and Hoa
Binh’s Ky Son and Kim Boi district to the east.
Hoa Binh city is a third-level city, the centre of administration, politics,
economics, culture, education, science-technology. It plays a key role in
promoting the province’s economic development. It is one of the gateway urban
centres to Hanoi, serving as a bridge connecting Hanoi capital area with the
northwest region.
The project on adjustments of the general planning for Hoa Binh city by 2035 aim
to build Hoa Binh City a civilized, modern urban centre imbued with local cultural
identity; meet requirements on the development and management of economics,
culture, urban space, and architecture; while laying legal foundation for local
authorities, organisations and units to implement the zoning off of wards, and make
construction and investment projects, as well as to supervise the city’s
investment, construction, development activities in line with the approved
plan.
It focuses on five components, namely: building a trade and financial centre in
north Thinh Lang along the Da river; upgrading the infrastructure along the two
banks of the Da river to raise the land’s efficiency and better the landscapes;
developing resorts, lake-based tourism and services in close link with the Ba
Cap and Bich Ha ports, as part of the national tourism destination of Hoa Binh
lake; enhancing the province’s health care quality, thus easing the load of
patients from northwestern province to Hanoi’s hospitals; and completing the
Quynh Lam multi-functional centre to serve sustainable development of the
province.
During the event, local leaders requested the provincial Department of
Construction to complete the project to build Hoa Binh province’s
inter-sectoral headquarters while advising the Committee on necessary documents
to report to the provincial Party Standing Committee for approval./.
On November the first, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting for the reports on the progress of preparations to hold the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the special national relic ranking for Trai Cave, the Stone Roof of Vanh village (Lac Son district) and the Opening Ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Organizing Committee of Culture - Tourism Week chaired the meeting.
alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long on October 30 had a working session with the Party Committee of the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment on the sector's implementation of political tasks in the past 10 months, and key tasks for the last months of 2024 and in the coming time.
In recent years, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district has directed units and mass organisations to promote the popularisation of the Party's policies and resolutions and the State's laws, as well as issued guiding documents on local religious affairs.
The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the organisation of the fourth provincial congress of ethnic minority groups held a meeting on October 29 to discuss the progress of preparations for the congress. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee chaired the event. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.
Despite a low starting point, the mountainous district of Mai Chau has effectively implemented the National Target Programme on New Rural Development, resulting in significant improvements in people’s life and rural look.
Over the past years, Hoa Binh has systematically implemented the one-stop-shop and interconnected one-stop-shop mechanisms in processing administrative procedures, contributing to improving the efficiency of the work while promoting online public services.
