(HBO) - Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province, on June 14 had a working session with the provincial Business Association on the implementation of tasks in 2017 and in the first six months of 2018; as well as key missions for the remaining months of this year.

The Hoa Binh Business Association has five member organisations and 12 chapters in 11 districts and cities. With nearly 1,000 member enterprises, the association has created jobs for over 10,000 workers. In recent times, the association has promoted communications to encourage its members to well carry out tax policies, contributing to local socio-economic development. Besides, the association has actively participated in the province’s external relations work, economic, cultural and social development, while joining hands in launching trade promotion and investment attraction activities.

It has also well acted the role of transmitting policies and laws of the Party and the State to enterprises in the province, and supported local businesses to develop production and business by promoting products, strengthening economic cooperation with businesses in and outside the province.

Since 2017, businesses have invested over 4.8 trillion VND (211.2 million USD) in various fields in the province.

Addressing the session, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh emphasised some key tasks in the coming time.

The association must strengthen renovation to improve the quality of its operations, and have measures to attract more members as well as policies to support its members in production and business development, he said.

At the same time, the association should abide by regulations on land and business investment, while re-organising the Cafe Businessmen programme and making monthly reports on obstacles in mechanism and policy in order to report to the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and authorised departments to have timely solutions. 


Meanwhile, the provincial People's Committee should propose measures to improve the province’s competitiveness index and administrative procedure reform, and issue the one-stop shop mechanism for the operation of the public administrative centre, while focusing the arrangement of competent cadres and modernisation of the public administration centre to ensure that receiving and processing documents and giving back outcomes are implemented on the spot, he said.

Besides, focus should be also laid on selecting officials in charge of investment attraction and those undertaking tasks related to businesses and entrepreneurs, meeting requirements and assigned tasks, Tinh added./.
