(HBO) – On 19th of June, the Provincial Journalists Association held a meeting to commemorate the 93rd Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (21/6/1925- 21/6/2018).


Members of the Provincial Journalists Association had a met and exchanged professional press works on the day marking the 93rd Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the meeting, Journalist Dinh Van On, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association and Chief Editor of Hoa Binh Newspaper, reviewed the 93-year history of constructions, developments and great contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press to the country. Along with the nationwide press, the Provincial Journalists Association becomes increasingly stronger, currently has gathered 122 members. The teams of newspaper staffs always keep professional ethics. Fingering out the opportunities and challenges of provincial press in an era of information explosion, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association emphasized: "Only by strong innovations, continuous improvements of product quality, building up professional and modern press style as well as proper attention in investment of the province, the press agencies and each journalist will confirm their position and gradually adapt in the new media environment”. The Provincial Journalists Association called upon the team of press staffs to constantly learn, train, and exert their efforts with the responsibility and morality of the profession in order to publish more high quality press work. As a result, this has leveraged the journalist and journalism, promoted the development of press agencies and contributed effectively to the construction and development of the country.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalist Association awarded Certificate of Satisfactory Progress for one excellent member, presented anniversary medals "For the development of Vietnam Press” for five members of the Provincial Journalist Association, and enrolled 10 new members. In addition, the Provincial Journalist Association awarded Certificates of merit for 15 individuals attaining excellent achievements in professionalism and association construction in 2017, and granted certificates to 16 authors who have works winning Press Award in 2017. Particularly, there were two first prizes, two second prizes, 4 third prizes and 8 consolation prizes.

Hoa Binh allocated over 30 trillion VND (nearly 1.18 billion USD) to develop infrastructure systems in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during 2019 - 2024. Priority was given to transport and irrigation infrastructure; markets; schools; medical stations; communal houses; and power grid, telecommunication, radio, and television systems.

Ceramic mural on Hoa Binh military-civilian ties inaugurated

The Hoa Binh provincial organising committee for anniversary activities on December 17 held a ceremony to unveil a ceramic mural on the local military-civilian ties and release a book on the Party and political work of the provincial armed forces during 1947 – 2024, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival.
