(HBO) – A suspension bridge was inaugurated in Co Nghia commune of Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, on July 4. The ceremony saw the presence of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh and representatives of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam.

Co Nghia Bridge has s total investment of 6.3 billion VND (over 273,700 USD) funded by the Hoang Son Trade, Construction and Energy Investment joint Stock Company. Built with the latest technologies in Vietnam, the bridge measures 319 metres in length and 13.8 metres in height. Able to support load of up to 0.5 tonnes, the bridge can ensure the smooth passage of vehicles and pedestrians.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh, representatives of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam, and officials of Hoa Binh departments and agencies join local residents in the bridge inauguration.

Despite difficulties in terms of the construction site, weather and geological conditions, the bridge was completed on schedule with technical standards met, and put into use on January 19, 2018. It has helped improve the road conditions and ensure safety for people in Co Nghia as well as the communes of Lien Hoa, An Lac, Dong Mon and Hung Thi, thus contributing to the building of new-style rural areas.

The Hoang Son company is one of the 200 organisations and individuals sponsoring the "Nhip cau yeu thuong” (Bridges of love) programme, launched by the Ministry of Transport.

Among the three suspension bridges it built in Lac Thuy district, two are in Hung Thi commune and were opened to traffic in August 2017. They were built at a total cost of 18 billion VND (782,100 USD), funded by a project on building 186 suspension bridges in 28 northern mountainous provinces.

At the ceremony, the Hoang Son company presented 60 million VND (about 2,600 USD) to the local funds for study encouragement and the poor.
