(HBO) - A delegation led by Bui Van Cuu, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh, on July 24 visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers Le Thi Dau and Bui Thi Chung.

Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Dau, born in
1920 in Residential Area No. 11, Hang Tram town, has two sons who are both martyrs.
They are Pham Khanh Ngoc who was born in 1945, joined the army in July 1967 and
died in December 1972; and Vo Ngoc Kim (Mother Dau’s adopted child) who was
born in 1950, joined the army in August 1971 and died in December 1972.
96-year-old Heroic Vietnamese Mother Bui Thi
Chung in Ngai hamlet, An Nghia commune, Lac Son district, has a son, Bui Van
Tach, who is a martyr. Tach was born in 1950 and joined the fight in the
central province of Quang Tri in 1972, where he scarified his life.
On the occasion of the 71st War Invalids and
Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-2018), Cuu visited and handed over gifts from
President Tran Dai Quang and the province to two Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in
Yen Thuy and Lac Son districts.
The official wished the mothers longevity and
expressed his hope that that they will encourage their descendants to uphold
their family traditions in production and learning.
On this occasion, representatives of the
women’s union, agencies and organisations of Hoa Binh province, Yen Thuy and Lac
Son districts, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company, and Hoa Binh Electricity Company
also presented gifts to the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.
On May 15, the Hoa Binh Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation launched the "Digital Literacy for All” movement. The event was held both in-person and virtually, connecting provincial authorities with district-level Party committees and local communities across communes, wards, and townships.
