(HBO) – The People’s Committee of Cao Phong district held a full-moon festival at the cultural house of Xuan Phong commune (Cao Phong), attracting more than 1,000 local children.

At the event, the children were treated to an exchange with Chi Hang (the Moon lady) and Chu Cuoi (the Moon boy), as well as lion dance and musical performances. They also heard a letter of Mid-Autumn festival greetings wrote for Vietnamese children by President Tran Dai Quang. A representative of Cao Phong children spoke out their sincere appreciation toward support from the local authorities, schools and parents. Thanks to the assistance, they could enjoy a warm and fun festival. They promised to behave well and study hard to deserve their mission of becoming the future owners of the nation.

 

The full-moon festival was a meaningful event, which reflected local authorities’ attention to the younger generation.  It helped encourage the students to improve their academic performances.

On the occasion, gifts were handed over to disadvantaged children, including 50 gift packs from the provincial chapter of the National Fund for Vietnamese children, 10 from the Cao Phong People’s Committee, and 20 from the orchids club in the district./.
