(HBO) - The Hoa Binh City’s People's Committee has held a ceremony to inaugurate the Cau Vong (rainbow) KB Library and hand over the facility together with teaching and classroom equipment to the local Huu Nghi Primary School.

The Cau Vong KB Library is built under a project implemented by the Korean non-governmental organisation WECA with the main sponsor being KB Securities Company in Vietnam. The Huu Nghi school was selected as beneficiary by representatives of the sponsor, who are Lim Jaesun and Tran Cong Soai, a resident at Huu Nghi ward, Hoa Binh City. The project, which cost 1 billion VND (42,822 USD), was accepted by the provincial People’s Committee in document 1127/UBND-TH dated July 20, 2018.

 

Leaders of the municipal People's Committee and representatives from sponsors cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

 

A representative of the sponsor presents gifts to the students of Huu Nghi Primary School.

 The project has provided the school with standard school equipment, including those used for the library, classes on information technology, and teaching activities. After two months of construction, the library is now operational, offering 9,194 books for both children and teachers.

 At the inauguration ceremony, a representative of the sponsor presented 1,420 school bags worth a total of 200 million VND (8,536 USD) to students at Huu Nghi school./.
