(HBO) - The People's Committee of Kim Boi district has held a conference to preliminarily review the 3-year implementation of the National Targeted Program for Rural Development in the period 2016-2018.



The leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded the Certificate of Merit to the Board of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kim Boi district.

The agricultural production of the district continues to develop stably. The district is focusing on restructuring the agricultural sector with the focus on investing in the development of key crops and livestock with advantages for each locality. Some localities have implemented land consolidation, land conversion, redesigned the traffic systems, inland field canals, and preparation of favorable conditions for mechanization in the field, some typical communes such as Vinh Dong , Nam Thuong, Sao Bay, Bac Son, Son Thuy. As a result, the living standards of rural people have been improved, the average per capita income in rural areas has increased from 16.55 million VND in 2016 to 22 million VND per capita in 2018; The rate of poor households has decreased from 31.04 in 2016 to 20.71% in 2018. The laborers trained in agriculture aspect accounts for 64.5%; The percentage of employed workers in rural areas with regular work in the district is 96%. The total mobilized capital for implementing the New Rural Area program in the period 2016-2018 is 802,638 million VND. Of which: 76,394 million VND of the central budget, 285,800 million VND from local budget (province, district, commune), 191,822 million VND from the capital of other programs and projects, 176,815 million VND of credit capital, 5,500 million VND from enterprises, 66,307 million VND from the collected capital of the local people.

By 2018, the average number of criteria of the district reached 12.5 criteria / commune, 6 communes have met the standard of New Rural Area: Trung Bi, Kim Binh, Nam Thuong, Bac Son; Hop Kim, Ha Bi; 19 communes have achieved 10-14 criteria; two communes met 8-9 criteria.

In the period of 2018-2020, Kim Boi district has set the main objectives: the average criteria of the whole district reached 14.8 criteria / commune; the average per capita income will reach 25 million VND / person / year by 2020; the rate of poor households will decrease 4-5% per year on average; basically  completing essential works to meet the requirements of production development and life of rural residents. The district's resources for construction of rural areas in the period 2018-2020 is estimated about 604,659 million VND. The district has put forward nine solutions to achieve the New Rural Area development goals for 2018-2020.

On this occasion, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kim Boi district was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for its achievements in the implementation of the restructuring plan for the agricultural sector in the period 2016-2018.
