(HBO) – The Department of Education and Training of the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh and the provincial association for promoting education, in cooperation with the Phuong Hoang golf course limited liability company, presented 300 scholarships worth 2 million VND (86 USD) each to outstanding disadvantaged students in 2018.
A ceremony to hand over the scholarships was attended by member of the
Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee
of Hoa Binh province Bui Van Tinh and leaders of provincial departments and
sectors.

course company present the scholarships to disadvantaged students with
outstanding academic results.
This was the ninth year that Phuong Hoang
company has handed over the scholarships to the province’s students. From 2010
to 2018, the company gave 2,000 scholarships worth total 4.55 billion VND
(195,565 USD) to poor students in 11 districts and city of Hoa Binh province.
Leaders of
the provincial association for promoting education hands over the honour
certificates of promoting education to Phuong Hoang golf course company for its
contributions to fostering education in the province.
Recipients of the scholarships were poor
primary and secondary students of the province. The prompt support and
scholarships are expected to help and motivate the disadvantaged students to
continue their studies and earn high academic results, along with enhancing
self studies and innovation.
The scholarships have helped many needy students
realise their dreams of going to schools and receiving education.

On November the first, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting for the reports on the progress of preparations to hold the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the special national relic ranking for Trai Cave, the Stone Roof of Vanh village (Lac Son district) and the Opening Ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024. The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the organisation of the fourth provincial congress of ethnic minority groups held a meeting on October 29 to discuss the progress of preparations for the congress. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.
Despite a low starting point, the mountainous district of Mai Chau has effectively implemented the National Target Programme on New Rural Development, resulting in significant improvements in people’s life and rural look.
