(HBO) – Hoa Binh Newspaper has recently organised a meeting to mark 55th anniversary of its first edition (September 2, 1962-2017) and receive the Labour Order, third class.

The event was attended by Bui Van Tinh, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Dinh Van Duc, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Mai Duc Loc, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association.

Hoa Binh Newspaper was set up and published its first edition on September 2, 1962. After 55 years of construction and development, the newspaper has gained rosy achievements, from contents and publication scale to human resources to facilities.

Hoa Binh newspaper has moved to form a multimedia press with a wide range of publications like printed newspaper, online newspaper and online television. In the past five decades, the newspaper has received noble awards from the Party and Government, such as Labour Orders, second and third class; certificates of merit and flags.

Speaking at the event, Bui Van Tinh, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, lauded efforts and contributions made by the newspaper to the local Party construction, socio-economic development and defence and security assurance in the past 55 years.

On the occasion, Tinh gave orientations to the newspaper in the coming time.

Yen Tri - leading flag in building new-style rural areas

In 2016, Yen Tri commune in Yen Thuy district was recognised as a new-style rural area in 2016, an advanced new-style rural area in 2020 and a model new-style rural area in 2021, respectively. It is the first and only commune in the province meeting the criteria for model new-style rural areas.
