(HBO) - Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, on February 21 made a field trip to Son Thuy JSC in Dan Hoa commune, Ky Son district. He was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh.
Son
Thuy JSC was put into operation in 2006. Last year, the company earned 450
billion VND and created stable jobs for 150 labourers, each with average
monthly income of 5.5-7 million VND. Over the past two years, Son Thuy has
taken the lead in State budget contribution, with 20 billion VND each year, accounting
for about one third of Ky Son’s budget.
Tinh urged the company to make greater efforts in order to complete its
production-business plan, implement policies towards labourers and pay more
attention to firefighting as well as safety and hygiene at workplace.
Son Thuy should expand its production to diversify products and increase
exports, he said.

The official said agencies and localities should identify forestry as the
province’s strength. Of note, acacia trees have initially brought about
socio-economic outcomes and contributed to changing locals’ mindset in
forest-based economic development as well as protecting natural, protective and
special-use forests. Therefore, it is necessary to better the forestation work.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to study
new plant varieties with high economic values to gradually replace acacia
trees, and take measures to supervise forestry product consumption, ensuring
rights and interests of producers.
Tinh also urged the department to propose solutions to produce and process
timber with HDF technology, meeting demands for domestic consumption and
exports.
The provincial tax and customs departments were asked to create favourable
conditions for Son Thuy JSC to generate jobs and raise income for labourers and
contribute to the State budget.
The official requested Ky Son district to help the company establish a Party
cell and maintain the operation of its mass organisations./.
