(HBO) – Mr Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, had a working session with a delegation from the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Group, led by Group Chairman for the North Huynh Quang Hai, on March 27.

Mr Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee welcomes the VSIP Group.

The VSIP is a joint venture between the Vietnam’s Becamex IDC Corporation and a Singaporean consortium led by Sembcorp. As one of the leading developers of integrated industrial parks and mixed-use areas in Vietnam, the VSIP has effectively run seven industrial parks in strategic areas, with 900 operating plants and 23,000 labourers. Over the past years, it has contributed largely to the State budget and developed local socio-economy. VSIP’s comprehensive and modern industrial infrastructure has pleased secondary investors.

Seeing that industrial zones in Hoa Binh province fit VSIP’s investment strategy, Mr Huynh Quang Hai expressed his hope that the local authority will create favourable conditions for the VSIP to conduct surveys and carry out investment in the province.

Mr Bùi Van Tinh, for his part, informed the guest of the local socio-economy, industrial infrastructure development as well as the province’s potential and priority projects, wishing that VSIP will become a strategic investor, helping the province accelerate sustainable economic structural shift. He committed to creating favourable conditions for the VSIP to carry out studies before landing investment in the province.

Both sides agreed to do surveys at Nhuan Trach industrial park in Luong Son district and Yen Quang industrial park in Ky Son district, which are billed as key areas in the province’s industrial development plan.

Earlier, the VSIP delegation made a fact-finding tour to Nhuan Trach industrial park.
