The Doc Lap primary and secondary semi-boarding school locates in a specially difficult commune in Ky Son district. The school has 27 teachers and staff, and 212 students.
The school has 11 classrooms, including 7 well-built rooms and 4 temporary rooms which have been degraded, along with eight classrooms that are expected to be operational. The boarding area for students is equipped with a canteen, bedrooms and toilets.
After three years of merging two schools into the semi-boarding school, the proportion of students finishing the primary education programme and graduating secondary schools reaches 100 percent every year.
The rate of students attending full-time courses reached 100 percent, while more than 37 percent of the students accessed IT training, and 100 percent of them attended English classes.
After merging, the semi-boarding school has organised many effective activities such as team work in every Saturday, while launching and maintaining activities to improve students’ life skills as well as experience activities for students.
The semi-boarding environment also helps students more self-reliant in daily activities.
Leaders of the school proposed that the province continue investing in upgrading infrastructure and equipment for the school, thus ensuring the implementation of a roadmap to turn it into a national-standard facility as schedule, while allocating more staff to the school and one vice principal for the secondary level.
Bui Van Tinh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, inspects the canteen of the school.
Concluding the working session, Bui Van Tinh underlined the need to continue to implement the policy on streamlining the education system to make it more simple and efficient.
It is necessary to enhance the quality of public education management, he said, urging the management officials to be more active.
