(HB) - The division in charge of economy-budget of the People’s Council of the northwestern province of Hoa Binh led by Hoang Van Duc, head of the Economic Commission of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, conducted an inspection on the planning and implementation of construction projects in the province on April 11.
Report by the
provincial Department of Construction said it provided consultation on the
compilation of a general plan on construction sector, comprising of five
sub-plans.
They include a
comprehensive plan on construction in 2020, with a view to 2030; and a plan to
develop automobile transport in the province in 2020, with a view to 2030.
Others are to develop
port and inland wharf system in the province in 2025, with a view to 2030; and
one on the province’s parking lots in 2025, with a view to 2030.
Besides, the
construction department devised and submitted to the provincial People’s
Committee to consider, adopt, amend and supplement a comprehensive plan on frontage
roads and junctions along national roads running in the province in 2025, with
a view to 2030.
After six years, the
plan has been implemented. Many projects are being built, aiming to meet demand
for travel and goods transport of local people. However, due to limited
finance, the implementation of the plan is behind schedule, resulting in most
of the projects remain incomplete.
Proposed budget to
carry out those construction plans stands at 23.1 trillion VND (nearly 995
million USD), while more than 9.35 trillion VND (402.63 million USD) were
allocated./.
Administrative reform has been identified as a key priority in enhancing state governance, improving the business environment, and facilitating services for citizens and enterprises.

Replacing substandard houses with more sturdy ones by June 30 is the direction given by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, at a meeting held in early March by the provincial Steering Committee for the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the needy.
