(HBO) - The Hoa Binh Social Security held a conference to release periodical information on social insurance and health insurance.

By the end of the first quarter of 2019, the numbers of participants of compulsory social insurance, voluntary social insurance, and unemployment insurance were over 73,000; 2,725; and over 59,000. The number of locals participating in health insurance exceeded 808,000 or 94.7 percent of the province’s population. The collection of social, health and unemployment insurance premiums surpassed 441 billion VND, an annual increase of over 38 billion VND. The insurers spent more than 579 billion VND on participants’ benefits during the period, up 9.4 percent on-year, while insurance debts totaled over 80 billion VND, an annual decrease of 1.3 billion VND. In the quarter, the sector had settled social insurance regimes for over 7,000 people, and payment of health insurance benefits for more than 246,000 others. The sector also received over 12,000 files for payment of all kinds, of which 2,410 were paid via postal services.

In the second quarter, the sector has so far coordinated with departments, agencies to disseminate policies and laws on social and health insurance, set quotas on 2019’s insurance collection, increase the number of participants in districts and cities, and conduct measures to clear insurance debts, among others./.
