(HBO) - On May 20, the Hoa Binh Steering Committee for National High School Examination held a meeting to implement tasks related to the exam in 2019. Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the committee, chaired the event.

The conference announced Decisions No. 937 and 995 of the provincial
People's Committee on the establishment of the steering committee and the
assignment of tasks among its members.
As of May 17, the preparation for organising the exam this
year had been implemented on schedule. The exam cluster No. 22 in Hoa Binh will
have a total of 37 exam sites with 393 rooms. A total of 8,993 candidates have
registered for the exam, of which 7,679 are from high schools, 1,015 from
continuing education centres, and 299 not from any school. 61.8 percent of the
candidates have registered to use their exam results only for high school
graduation purpose, an increase of 3.5 percent from last year. There will be 1,176
proctors for the exam, and plans have been ready for the making, transport and
storage of test questions and exam papers.
At the conference, the steering committee discussed and
clarified the responsibility of each member. They also made recommendations
regarding organisation and coordination work.
Concluding the function, head of the committee Nguyen Van Chuong
said it is necessary to timely disseminate updated information on exam
regulations and instructions on the organisation of the exam.
He urged closer coordination between the Hoa Binh Department
of Education and Training and relevant local departments, agencies, localities,
and universities to implement exam-related requirements made by the Ministry of
Education and Training.
Members of the steering committee must make on-the-spot
checks of preparation work at before, during and after the exam, he noted./.
