(HBO) – Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province Bui Van Tinh chaired a conference to review the operation of the Executive Board for the project on the reinforcement and enhancement of efficiency of the political system for the socio-economic development and defence-security in Hang Kia, Pa Co communes of Mai Chau district (Project 03) in the first half of 2019 and set tasks for the rest of the year. The conference also looked into the coordination in preparing for an investment promotion event in Hang Kia and Pa Co.

In the first six months of this year, agencies and units of the board have strengthened coordination in implementing major tasks stated in the Project 03-DA/TU, the Conclusion No. 20-KL/TU of the provincial Party Committee and Programme No. 02-CTr/BCD issued on August 5, 2016 by the Executive Board of the Project 03 on the Plan of operation in the 2016-2020 period.

The political system of Hang Kia and Pa Co communes have been completed and reinforced for better operation, while the effectiveness of leadership of the Party Committee as well as directions and management of the local government has been improved. The role of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee as well as sectors and organisations of the two communes in consulting and implementing the tasks has been strongly performed.

At the event, participants discussed many issues in the two communes such as the attraction of investment in tourism development, maintaining the cultural identity of local ethnic minority groups, and improving the quality of infrastructure system.

Concluding the conference, the provincial leader stressed the need for strengthening personnel training to improve the capacity for officials of Hang Kia and Pa Co communes.

It is necessary to implement measures to promote socio-economic growth, ensuring defence and security in the two communes, he said.

Specifically, the two communes should reform its production in line with product sale, with the combination between agro-forestry-fisheries production and tourism, focusing on homestay development, while strengthening the breeding of local varieties.

He also requested the coordination among sectors in the organisation of investment promotion conference in the two communes.
