(HBO) - The People’s Committee of Yen Thuy district held a conference on October 18 to review the 10 years of implementing the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Area Building in the 2010-2020 period.
Leaders of the
Yen Thuy district People’s Committee present certificates of merit to
collectives and individuals with outstanding performance in the new-style rural
area building programme in the 2010-2020 period.
After
a decade of implementing the programme, Yen Thuy has had five out of the 12
communes, or 41.6 percent, recognised as new-style rural areas. On average,
each commune has finished 14.92 out of the 19 criteria of the programme, up 11.76
percent compared to 2010.
At
the end of 2018, no commune in the district completed less than eight criteria.
It is estimated that there will be no commune reaching less than 10 criteria by
the end of 2019.
So
far, the district has upgraded 182.98km of rural roads, while concretising 100
percent of the village and commune roads, and cementing and asphalting 76.19
percent of the roads’ surface. As many as 192 irrigation works have been
upgraded and repaired.
The
district has mobilized over 2.2 trillion VND (946 million USD) for the
programme in 10 years, including over 71 billion VND from the central budget,
nearly 500 billion VND from the local budget, and more than 716 billion VND
from the community.
It
is estimated that in 2019, the average per capita income of locals will reach
35.46 million VND, 2.31 times that in 2010. The poverty rate is expected to
reduce to 11.36 percent, down 11.16 times compared to that in 2011.
In
the 2021-2025 period, the district targets 75 percent of the total communes competing
all criteria of the programme and no commune finishing less than 15 criteria.
The district will strive to become a new-style rural area. Meanwhile, it
expects four communes to become advanced new style rural areas and one model
rural area. It will strive to basically complete all the necessary works
meeting the requirements of production development and locals’ daily
activities.
At
the conference, the district People’s Committee honoured 16 collectives, seven
households and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the
emulation movement of "Yen Thuy people join hands in building new-style rural
areas” in the 2010-2020 period./.
On November the first, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting for the reports on the progress of preparations to hold the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the special national relic ranking for Trai Cave, the Stone Roof of Vanh village (Lac Son district) and the Opening Ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Organizing Committee of Culture - Tourism Week chaired the meeting.

In recent years, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district has directed units and mass organisations to promote the popularisation of the Party's policies and resolutions and the State's laws, as well as issued guiding documents on local religious affairs.
The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the organisation of the fourth provincial congress of ethnic minority groups held a meeting on October 29 to discuss the progress of preparations for the congress. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee chaired the event. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.
Despite a low starting point, the mountainous district of Mai Chau has effectively implemented the National Target Programme on New Rural Development, resulting in significant improvements in people’s life and rural look.
Over the past years, Hoa Binh has systematically implemented the one-stop-shop and interconnected one-stop-shop mechanisms in processing administrative procedures, contributing to improving the efficiency of the work while promoting online public services.
