(HBO) – Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khanh held a working session with leaders of Hoa Binh city on March 5 to review socio-economic performance during 2019 and the first two months of this year, and discuss key tasks for the near future.

The People’s Committee of Hoa Binh city has closely followed
goals in various areas, assessed advantages and disadvantages to seek
appropriate solutions. In the process of direction, the municipal People’s
Committee determined the right focuses, thereby reaping important results in
the implementation of socio-economic development plan.
In the first two months of this year, the city’s total
retail of goods and services was estimated at over 4.08 trillion VND, up 26.6
percent year-on-year. The industrial and handicraft production value was
estimated at over 1.73 trillion VND, up 13.5 percent annually. Its State budget
revenue reached 68.59 billion VND, or 12.96 percent of the estimate assigned by
the municipal People’s Council. Progress was seen in socio-culture while
national defence and security were maintained.
The municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee also
paid attention to directing the merger of administrative areas. Permanent
members of the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s
Committee promptly ordered the building of plans to arrange headquarters of
units and agencies.
Khanh acknowledged efforts of Hoa Binh city in the merger of
administrative areas. About orientations to building the city in the near future, the
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee requested paying attention to
urbanisation along the two banks of Da River. In a report to be submitted to
the municipal Party Congress for the 2020 – 2025 tenure, he required enhancing
urbanisation and comprehensive planning in tandem with the city’s master plan.
Further attention should be paid to site clearance, especially for key projects
and an industrial zone on the left bank of Da River to attract investment. Therefore,
the city must reshuffle personnel in the work./.
On November the first, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting for the reports on the progress of preparations to hold the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the special national relic ranking for Trai Cave, the Stone Roof of Vanh village (Lac Son district) and the Opening Ceremony of the Culture - Tourism Week of Hoa Binh province in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Organizing Committee of Culture - Tourism Week chaired the meeting.

In recent years, the People's Committee of Lac Thuy district has directed units and mass organisations to promote the popularisation of the Party's policies and resolutions and the State's laws, as well as issued guiding documents on local religious affairs.
The Hoa Binh Steering Committee for the organisation of the fourth provincial congress of ethnic minority groups held a meeting on October 29 to discuss the progress of preparations for the congress. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee chaired the event. The congress is slated for November 14-15 at the provincial Cultural Palace, expecting 250 official delegates.
Despite a low starting point, the mountainous district of Mai Chau has effectively implemented the National Target Programme on New Rural Development, resulting in significant improvements in people’s life and rural look.
Over the past years, Hoa Binh has systematically implemented the one-stop-shop and interconnected one-stop-shop mechanisms in processing administrative procedures, contributing to improving the efficiency of the work while promoting online public services.
