(HBO) – Last year, a total of 27 products in Hoa Binh province met the provincial "On Commune, One Product” (OCOP) standards. Among the products, which are produced by 21 companies, cooperatives and households, nine were rated four stars while 18 others rated three stars.

In January, the Hoa Binh People’s Committee issued Plan
No.12/KH-UBND on the province’s implementation of the national target programme
on building new-style rural areas in 2020. Accordingly, the province aims to
develop at least 23 OCOP products, with 3 – 5 products recognized in each
district.
By the end of the first quarter of the year, a total of 54
products have been registered to take part in the OCOP programme this year and
all districts have completed the registration process.
Of the products, five come from Hoa Binh city, three from
Lac Son district, nine from Lac Thuy, eight from Tan Lac, six from Cao Phong,
six from Yen Thuy, four from Kim Boi, three from Mai Chau, six from Luong Son
and four from Da Bac.

Nguyen Phi Long, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee, and head of the steering committee for the province's key projects, chaired a conference on March 25 to discuss measures for implementing the project on constructing the Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road and upgrading the Xuan Mai - Hoa Binh section of National Highway 6 under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
