(HBO) - Delegates attending the 17th Congress of the Party Organisation of Hoa Binh province for the 2020-2025 tenure on October 1 offered incense in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his statue.

The delegation included Bui Van Tinh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Bui Van Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; along with members of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee, the Fatherland Front, and leaders of departments and sectors.

At the ceremony, the delegation reported the outstanding achievements in the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation for the 2015-2020 term.

During the past five years, with the implementation of Resolutions of the 16th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation and the 12th National Party Congress and a campaign on promoting the studying and following of late President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle, the Party Organisation, administration and people of the province have upheld the tradition of solidarity and creativity, thereby gaining significant results in the fields of socio-economy, national defence-security and political system building.

The province has sustained high economic growth during the period. All sectors and manufacturing spheres have flourished and most economic targets were fulfilled. The leadership and combat readiness of Party organisations and members have been strengthened while administrative reforms have been accelerated.

The great national unity bloc and people’s trust in the Party and regime have been strengthened, creating momentum for rapid and sustainable development.

Expressing their gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh’s contributions, the provincial Party Organisation, administration, armed forces and people are exerting efforts in upholding revolutionary traditions and previous achievements, and at the same time, staying united and innovative to successfully organise the 17th Congress of the provincial Party Organisation for the 2020-25 tenure, striving to make Hoa Binh province more prosperous and civilised./.

Hoa Binh allocated over 30 trillion VND (nearly 1.18 billion USD) to develop infrastructure systems in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during 2019 - 2024. Priority was given to transport and irrigation infrastructure; markets; schools; medical stations; communal houses; and power grid, telecommunication, radio, and television systems.

Ceramic mural on Hoa Binh military-civilian ties inaugurated

The Hoa Binh provincial organising committee for anniversary activities on December 17 held a ceremony to unveil a ceramic mural on the local military-civilian ties and release a book on the Party and political work of the provincial armed forces during 1947 – 2024, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival.
