(HBO) - On April 16th, in Thanh Cao commune, the Steering Committee of the Provincial Blood Donation Campaign, the Steering Committee of Luong Son Blood Donation Campaign collaborated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize the Second Festival of blood donation in 2021.
A large number of the cadres, the civil servants, the soldiers, the
members of Youth Communist Union and the people in Luong Son district have
participated in the blood donation.
With the theme "Donating blood to save people, a noble gesture”, the
festival attracted more than 400 people who are the cadres, the civil servants,
soldiers, the members of the Youth Communist Union and the local people
registering to donate blood and 384 units of blood were collected. The regulations
on the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic such as washing hands with
antiseptic, measuring body temperature, wearing medical masks were strictly
followed by the officials, the volunteers and the blood donors.
This is an annual activity of the Steering Committee of Luong Son Blood
Donation Campaign, bearing the bold human nature, spreading the spirit of
"mutual love”, contributing to providing life-saving opportunities for the
patients in need of blood. The whole amount of donated blood at the festival
are preserved and stored by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood
Transfusion for the supply and the treatment at hospitals.
