(HBO) - The evaluation and appraisal team of new-style rural residential areas and model gardens in Luong Son district has conducted inspections to assess the standard of the residential areas and model gardens in the locality.

The team inspects a model garden of a household in Thanh Ha village in Luong Son district’s Thanh Son commune.

The team inspected three residential area models, including a residential area of Song village (Lien Son commune), a residential area of Dong Tien village (Tan Vinh commune), a residential area of Hanh Phuc village (Hoa Son commune), and six model gardens of households namely Nguyen Thi Thanh, Nguyen Ba Hieu in Dong Se village, Nguyen Van Dien in Suoi Su A hamlet (Nhuan Trach commune); Nguyen Van Liem, 23/9 hamlet (Lien Son commune); Dang Thi Hao, Tran Van Tien in Thanh Ha village (Thanh Son commune). These models had been selected by the communes before the team arrived to appraise.

It was revealed through the on-site inspections that most residential areas have built community houses, playgrounds, clean and beautiful village roads.

People have planted flowers on the sidewalks and most of them have solid houses. All of the local main roads have been concreted. The poverty rate has been lowered and people have stable incomes. The security and order in the rural areas have been maintained.

All the model gardens have planning drawings and they are carried out in line with the planning drawings. They are surrounded by a fence. People planted many trees to cool their houses in summer. There are many types of plants including short-term and perennial ones.

Some households also set up a watering system for the plants. All the products meet the safety standard and bring high incomes for households.

The establishment of residential areas and model gardens has created a positive change for a rich and peaceful countryside with the development of the economy and material and spiritual life of locals have been raised at the same time.

The appraisal team highly appreciated the building of residential areas and model gardens and the preparation of necessary documents. It also pointed out some shortcomings that need to be addressed in the future.

After completing the appraisal process, the team will submit it to the district People’s Committee for approval before making decisions.
